Is IBM X-Series 220 old hat?

Hi all,

Our computer systems supplier has come up with a schedule for a major
systems upgrade at work, and for the server they have recommended we use the
following;

IBM X-Series 220 Server
2 x 18Gb HD
2 x 1.3Ghz Pentium III Processor
256Mb RAM plus 512Mb upgrade

i've looked around for reviews and prices but there's not much out there as
few places seem to sell them. i'm not really up on server systems so i'm
here asking some advice from those of you that are. In particular i'd like
to know;

1) Is this model now out of date and superseded by a better model, and if
so, which one?
2) They're asking for over 3,200 GBP, is this a fairly average price? (just
seems overly expensive to me)
3) Apart from Compaq, has anyone better recommendations for a small to
medium sized business server?

Any help you can give will be gratefully received.
Thanks!

My apologies, please ignore most of this as it turns out i was sent last
years schedule. No wonder i thought it was pricey!

But i am still on the lookout for alternative servers (an alternative to the
X-Series 226 now) so if anyone knows a bit about servers and wants to share,
please do.

Thanks!
