Is freeware really free? 100% true freeware should run on free
open-source operating systems such as Linux, not on commercial, paid
operating systems made by Microsoft.

I just got a new chair, it was also freeware (I didn't cost me anything)
but I have to pay for my apartment, so is the chair really free then....

Anyway with your conclusion about OS then you must not either pay for the
PC or electricity before it is freeware in your opinion

Thanks for brightening up my dull Sunday!!

Yes, freeware is really free and quite a number of them runs on a multitude
of platforms! The problem is only to separate the "real freeware" from the
spyware, registerware, etc... and there this NG comes in handy!

Where do you draw the line? Should it run only on free computers too?

Free for personal use most of the time, but not for business customers.
