I have my office cd of Office XP, allowed to install it at home(told this by
3 people) so it's installed and now I try and update it since SP2 and it's
giving me a stupid error during installation claiming my CD is not the right
one or something. Grrr. Anyone know what this is? I only have the one Office
CD(its retail). I had this problem with SP2 I'm almost to my limit with MS
anti-piracy crap, especially when it starts affecting me and stopping me
from updating legit software. I'm just about to scrap office and go with a
3rd party solution, better or worse at least I wont have to deal with this
anymore. Someone told me that I need some kind of Administrator release of
service pack, god knows where that is... I really have lost the desire to
search through MS for this.. anyhow, if anyone knows, appreciate it. Come
the end of the week I'll go with Corel office or something cuz I really have
had it with this anti-piracy stuff. I spend so much damn money on software
this is really a slap in the face.
Thanks in advance.
