Hi, I don't know id anyone else has this problem, but at random times, my
mouse jumps to either the top lefthand corner, or the bottom lefthand corner
of my screen...this is very annoying....can someone please help...I don't
think that it is the physical mouse it self, but the mouse is a new Sony
Vaio, PS2 style...hope that helps, and thanx in advance for the replies.

Jeff

Sony Vaio notebook ?, then you have an interaction problem between
the built-in touchpad and the PS/2 mouse. In BIOS should be an option
to disable the Touchpad, when a PS/2 mouse is present.
You can verify this by opening Device Manager, Mouse category. If
two or more mice are shown you have both Touchpad and external
mouse active at the same time.

I have a similar issue with XP and a generic optical mouse.

Jeff,

I had the same problem with a cheap Microsoft optical
mouse, but when I switched to an even cheaper Logitech
optical mouse the problem went away. I suggest you stick
with a trackball, they work anywhere (unlike optical- no
matter what they claim), are much less likely to cause
errors, and are practically impossible to break. The
only reason I'm stuck with an optical mouse is my mouse
port is broken.

Hi Jeff
I have the same issue here. If you found problem I will love to hear from
it. I have run ad-aware, spyboot, anti-virus, hacking log, reinstall mouse
driver but problem still occur from time to time.
