IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Mingo

Hello,

I regularly get the following error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen. I'm
using XP pro SP2 on a 3Ghz with 256x2 DDR2 machine.
My question is, could this error be related to a software problem or
hardware?

Thank you!

Thank you for the links.
I open the case once to clean the dust on the memory stick (256DDR2 x 2).
I'm not sure if it could be the cause.
I don't really remember any major changes that I might of done. I keep the
usage on the PC very simple. No gaming, only office related.

| The link suggests asoftware but it could be faulty memory.
|
| What changes did you make prior to the problem first occurring?

Mingo,

To rule out a hardware heat related problem, do you have a small fan
nearby?. Open one side of the case and put a fan close enough to blow across
the whole inside. Run this for awhile and see if this stops the error. If
so, then you can start to eliminate the problem.

All the best,
SG
