IPSEC?

Anyone know if I need / should use IPSEC Service?
(Internet Protocol Security Service)

I cannot get it to start, and it never seems to start
automatically whether set to manual or automatic.

Windows XP home edition
Single pc (not networked)
Internet / email used

If you are not using it then you do not need it.
If you are using it you would know as you would
have needed to configure it wth rules.
It may be failing to start due to a conflict with other
software installed, or a prereq on which it depends
is not running/present.
