I've searched extensively for this snap-in, with no success. Can
anyone tell where me to find it? Thank you, Cleo

Try this:

START | RUN | Type 'gpedit.msc' (without quotes) & press ENTER

Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Windows Settings | Security Settings

Right-click IP Security Policy | All Tasks | Restore Default Policies

If exists, do the same for User Configuration

Newbie, thank you for responding. Using Start | Run| etc. did not
work.
I booted in "safe mode with command" and stumbled through the options
there (that secton is not my strong point). Using "service query"
"failure"and "IPSec" I prompted SOMETHING to be done because I was
given the information "Configuration 2" had occurred. We'll see what
happens next. Thank you again for responding. Cleo
