IPP issue- The handle is invalid

I am having problem trying to connect a printer located in
another network. I setup the windows XP to allow printer
installation from another network by IPP. I use
http://IP_address/printers and I am able to see my printer
but when I try to connect to the printer. It says "Printer
Installation Failed" and "The handle is invalid". Do you
know how to fix the problem?
