I need help, I live in a very rural area and the only internet available to
me at the present time is dial up. I have 2 pc's sharing the internet and
haven't had any problems until lately. Now my event viewer is full of the
following error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: ipnathlp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 31012
Date: 5/31/2007
Time: 8:16:28 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Description:
The DNS proxy agent encountered an error while obtaining the local list of
name-resolution servers. Some DNS or WINS servers may be inaccessible to
clients on the local network. The data is the error code.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: e8 00 00 00 è...

and also now I am getting disconnected constantly. Could someone tell me
what this error means?

Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections.

Right click your connection,(the one used to connect to the internet),and
select properties. On the advanced tab uncheck "Allow other network users to
connect through this computer's Internet connection" and click ok.

The fix is supposed to be "uncheck".

| Thank you for your response but that box was already checked.
