Event Viewer

Hello,
I need some help on 2 errors I am receiving in my event viewer:
After I connect and disconnect from the internet via dialup, the computer
will not respond for about 3 to 4 minutes. After this is over I can look in
the event viewer and it shows the 2 errors I have listed below. I also have
an Lynksys DSL/Router (used as a switch not for dsl yet) to connect to my 2
computers together. This problem occurs even if I have the ethernet card
disabled and the DSL/Router unplugged, so I don't think it is causing the
problem. I have searched the microsoft web site for information but no luck
yet. The computer is a Dell 8300 with Windows XP Pro load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Ron

I'm not familiar with this component but the error codes make me wonder if
somehow your registry contains a DNS server with a really long (ie
corrupted) name.

This is a loaded question. Is there any way I can find the corrupted name,
by searching the registry?

Thanks

I found the file ipnathlp.dll and opened it :
# This file has been automatically generated for use by Microsoft Internet

# Connection Sharing. It contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names

# for the home network. Please do not make changes to the HOSTS.ICS file.

# Any changes may result in a loss of connectivity between machines on the

# local network.

"It has to do with the Internet Connection Sharing. I found the ICS
disabled in the services. no problem now.

Thanks for the help.
