Hi all,

I want to set my XP pro (with 2 NICs) as a router.
I read article in Microsoft website stating that we can
enable IP forwarding by change the value
of "IPRouterEnable" from 0 to 1 in registry.
I had tried this procedure but still a computer from
subnet A cannot communicate to computer in subnet B.

Need your suggestion.

Thanks.

That should be "IPEnableRouter". This web page has details:

Additionally, verify the routes on the machines in subnet A and subnet B.
they need to know to use the XP router to get to each other

and as stated the value is

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

REG_DWORD IPEnableRouter = 0x01
