How do I get to display a sites ip address in the address
box or anywhere for that matter, so I can put this
address in to my firewall. English will not work e.g.,
www. microsoft.com, e.g. it has to be 123-123-123-123, so
it has to be an ip address. Any suggestions?
Thanks Wombat

Wombat,

PING that website. Type 'PING www.nameofthesite.com' in the Command Prompt.

Example: PING www.yahoo.com

Pinging www.yahoo.akadns.net [216.109.117.204] with 32 bytes of data:

At a DOS prompt execute.

PING www.microsoft.com you will see the ip address.

This address for some sites like MS may change as they have many.

What is your problem?
