IP Address still associated to another adapter

I am having a problem getting rid of risidule entries in
the registry.

Something to the fact that the Ip address is still in use
with a "hp xxxxxx" adapter, doing this will
make .............is the error I am recieving

Any ideas how I can remove the old adapter, that no longer
exists.

Just a thought, but have you done a search in the registry for that hp
xxxxxx and deleted it?

View, Show Hidden, in Device manager and delete it.
