Invitation response "Meeting not in Calendar"

K

kimdnw

Recently, when sending invitations to a weekly meeting, the responses come
back with "Meeting not in calendar; it may have been moved or deleted".
Subsequently, I have to manually update the attendees. The meeting is still
in my calendar and is the same one from which I sent the invitations.

This happened again today, replies to invites return with a bar message,
"Meeting not in calendar; it may have been moved or deleted". The invitation
is sent to a "Contact Group", but the responses come from individuals. I'm
wondering if this could be part of the cause of the message?

Still happening, this is the third week in a row. Not one minute after
invitations were sent, they were being replied to and the reply carried the
error message. Perhaps I should delete the series and recreate it?

I ended the series with the meeting tomorrow, which forced me to resend
notices for that meeting. The message is still coming in the current
responses. I re-established the series with meeting starting 10-9 and will
send those invites at the beginning of next week. I'll let you know what
happens then.

Nope, the new invites went out today to the new series and are coming back
with the same message. Just seems to be something with this particular one
as other invitations to other meetings are coming back fine. I'm totally
baffled.

Do you use Cached Exchange Mode? That can cause some similar issues.

Yes, I believe that I am. The company recommended that for some reason or an
other.

Cached Exchange Mode speeds up accessing your email if you have a large
mailbox on the exchange server. It also allows you to access your previously
downloaded email if you are offline. There isn't a large difference at my org
because most users can't store enough email to cause much of a delay unless
the network is having slowness issues.
