Inverted print

Can anyone tell me how I can print white characters on a black background using
MS Word 97?

Try putting your text into either a black text box or a black rectangle from
the Draw>Shape menu. You type in the shape by selecting it and hitting the
return key.
You can colour the page background in Word as you have probably discovered,
but it doesn't print.
