Invalid Page Fault in module URLMON.DLL

John

In several websites, if I try to download updates or send
info or search with google I get the message " Explore,
This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down.
In details it says Explorer has caused an invalid page
fault in module URLMON.DLL at0167:702bdaa2.
I downloaded and installed IE 6.0 again and reset web
defaults. This got rid of OK-Search which had changed my
Registry settings and put MSN search back in but page
fault still comes in whenever I try to update McAfee
protection or various other sites like Google, I've tried
all of Microsoft suggestions with no luck. Any suggestions?

I am also experiencing the same problem and I am unable to
download SP1 from Microsoft because of this issue. I
tried the registry fix, without success. OK gurus, how do
we fix this?
