INVALID MENU HANDLE

Can anybody help me with the error message "invalid menu handle". I get this
message when i try to open a file but get around it by saving the file first
but it's still anoying. Kind regards, gary

What kind of file is it? What is your default viewer for that filetype?
What browser or mail program are you using?

Not curiosity. Just need basic info.

Thanks for taking the time to look iceman.
It doesn't seem to matter what type of file it is,or if it's a bit torrent
file or a file that's been sent to me through messenger/outlook.
It allways happens when i'm prompted with the open/save/cancel box.But i can
get round it by first saving it to a destination then going back and pointing
it to where i've saved it to (if that makes sence). Many thanks..

Could be a firewall problem. Try shutting your firewall down for a brief
moment, before opening the file.

Thanks iceman but i'm affraid shutting down the firewall doesn't make any
difference.
