Invalid File Name

I am Using Outlook 2003 and Vista OS - I am trying to export my current .pst
file to another location other than the default location given by the process
in the Import/Export wizard. I am trying to export the .pst file to a
removable device ie K:\backup.pst, however I get an error message "Invalid
File Name".
I have also tried to use other file names, but always the same error message.
Can anyone help me - please

Roady,
Thanks for the reply - however, I am NOT backing up the .pst file.
What I am attempting is to split my .pst file up into two seperate groups -
I actually have four emails address under my control (myself, my wife, and
two for the charity that I am involved with) - I have two account's on the PC
- one for myself/ wife and One for the Charity, so what I would like to do
now is seperate the one .pst file by firstly exporting it and then going
through the seperate .pst files and removing all the non charity stuff from
charity .pst file and the non family stuff from the family .pst file. I
think you because confused with the "backup" name is because the Export
feature assign's the file name backup.pst and I cannot even change that file
name.

Once again,
Many thanks
David

If you want to create a backup don't export the file but simply copy the
pst-file. For more info see

Instead of Exporting create a new pst-file by File-> New-> Outlook Data File
After this you'll get an additional set of folders in Outlook to which you
can move the items you want separate from each other.
