Invalid argument (Cannot access sign in)

Hi all,

I currently have an access sign in sheet on a server where customers log in
their basic information and the front desk counselors call people according
to the linked sign in sheet on their computers. Problem is that every time
they try and open up the sign in sheet whether it be it tables, queries, or
forms, they get an invalid argument message which prevents anyone from
viewing anything. No settings were changed to my knowledge. Any help is
always greatly appreciated!

Hi Tony,

I have no idea what you mean by an "access sign in sheet", and since no
one else has replied probably they don't either. Can you post back with
an explanation in ordinary Access terms of just what the sign-in sheet
is and does, and tell us among other things:

-Is this a database server (e.g. SQL Server) or a file server (e.g. a
Windows server with the data in an MDB file in a shared folder)?
-If the latter, have you split the database and installed a copy of the
front end on each workstation?
-What versions of Windows and Access are involved?
-Exactly what error number and error message are you getting?
-What line of code is triggering the error?
