Invalid Argument error

Tony

Hello All

I was hoping one of you fellows could help me. I'm simply
an access 2000 user and in no way an expert.
My problem is a tad odd. I currently link to a central
database by means of an odbc connection. This has worked
fine for many months until just this week. I decided to
import a table from another database. This worked fine but
when i tried with another table i got an invalid argument
error. I aborted this did a repair to Office and
retried..same result. I tried to refresh in the linked
table manager and got the following: "application-defined
or object-defined error". Now on trying to enter the
design screen of a simple query with a group on it I again
get Invalid argument....!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tony

The exact same thing is happening to me when linking
tables. It looks like it started happening after I
installed Windows SP4- would that be true for you as well?
Thanks.
