internet trouble

I am having trouble on a Windows XP workstation. When I
access the internet I can't close any web windows. Any
windows window can be changed, such as explorer, word etc.
But anytime I am on the internet and pop up window or
internet window I can't close, I can minimize and maximize
but can't close. Crazy problem hope someone has a clue.

Can you close the windows using Alt+F4? What about by right-clicking the taskbar icon? have you scanned your machine for spyware and viruses using the updated definitions for both?
