Problems with connecting to web sites

Ever since I loaded XP Professional SP2, I been having
problems connecting to certain web sites. For example, I
can access the Symantecs website, however, I cannot make a
purchase to their link. I disabled the Firewall and also
the SP2 Firewall and still no success. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. I have another computer running ME
and have not had any problems making a purchase.

Thank you!

Tom

Does the site use pop-up windows? Did you try disabling the pop-up blocker?

I had a recent problem too, but it did that thing called "magicly goes away".
I couldn't check out of finishline.com a shoe stoe, installed netscape and
shorty after that ie worked, make sure that sp2 didn't automaticly
reconfigure your security options in internet explorer, under the internet
option tab click tools internet options avanced and scroll down to security,
i think that new service packs might uh restore the default settings, like
making TLS 1.0 unchecked... try the help page and see what the security
setting for that page is on your browser. Hope that helps
