Internet Shortcut Icons

Why can't I change the icons on Internet shortcuts. I go through the
entire Change Icon routine but the icons do not appear on the desktop.
Is this another one of Vista's bugs?

Hi Paul--

Yes, I think it is. I've noticed that throughout every build. Notice
though, that as long as you go through the same process on a folder, you can
change the icon. I have not been able to do this at all on a shortcut on
Vista, as of course you can with XP and OS's before XP.

I'll try to see if I can get some info from MSFT. I've been wondering why
this happens myself.

Are you trying to get Favicons to display? Are you unable to change the icon
or do changes not stick?
