Internet Settings? Lots of Boxes with red Xs

G

Greg Blaisdell

I have cable internet that I just got installed. It
opens some pages just fine, and other pages won't open or
open partially with lots of boxes where buttons and links
are supposed to be with red Xs.

What is it that blocks things and only lets me see and
use select parts of the web pages?

I know the problem isn't with the web sites themselves.
I figure it's either a problem with my internet
connection or my internet settings are making my computer
block certain images, and no, none of it's pornography,
so there's no reason the computer should be blocking
anything.

Help me if you can. I'm very frustated. Thanks.

Try cleaning out your temporary internet files
See if that resolves the problem.
Sometimes if it get's full this problem can occur.

Hi, I have the same problem. Using XP Home and
RoadRunner cable. I empty all caches and temporary files
after every visit to the web. I find the red X'd boxes
mostly on my ISP home page (RoadRunner). Have searched a
lot of self help sites, nothing worked yet.
