internet problems

im using windows xp. when i log onto the internet pages
will not download or take about 20-30 minutes to download.
i have checked for viruses, i cant update because it wont
let me - too slow, i have added spyware, i have tried
almost everything i think!! can anyone help me?????

How much space is left on C:? Did you stupidly set a small pagefile?
