Dear Windowers,
I use two computers: my old Windows 98se computer and a new Windows XP laptop.
I use Internet on both computers through 1 router/accesspoint (from Linksys).
But some pages do not seem to work on my new WinXP laptop, while they do
show on my Win98se computer.
For example when I try to access the Macromedia.com site to download the
latest Flash player, my Win98se can open the site, but the WinXp can not. It
show the "the page can not displayed".
Same problem when I tried to download the latest MSN Messenger program.
I installed on the WinXP the exact same security applications I used on
my old Win98se, which include; Avast (virusscanner), spybot (anti spyware),
Lavasoft ad-aware (anti spyware) and Zone alarm (firewall). The settings for
these are the same on both machines.
Can there be some kind of extra setting in WinXP that prevents some sites to
be opened? Can this be related to pages for downloading applications?
Can someone help me solve this problem?
Grt,
