Internet not working on one account

Hello,

I have the strangest problem. I use windows XP on an IBM thinkpad, and the
internet has always worked fine. My connection is on a network through a
router.

Suddenly, the internet on one of the XP accounts (my account, incidentally)
stopped working, but it still works on the other account. I can't load
google, hotmail, or anything else, I just get a timeout error. This occurs in
both firefox and internet explorer. However, I can still access my university
webmail and download ftp through filezilla on the problem account.

I did not install any new software at the time it stopped working. I've run
disk cleanup, AdAware, defragment, deleting cookies, and a full virus scan
with McAffey. Nothing came up.

Can anyone offer any advice to restoring the internet on the account?

Thanks,

Julia

hey.. looks like a config issue. can you post a shot of your
network settings and browser connection settings?

Okay,

Where do I access this info? I've looked through my control panel and I'm
not sure what info you're looking for.

Thanks for the help,

Julia
