internet issue on xp machine - after 4 sites...locks up

After about 4 sites from one of my users at one pc the
whole pc hangs. This can be any 4 sites. Here is the
strange issue though. I can log on as my username or
administrator from that pc and everything works
fine....site after site are fast. So, I figure it must
be something with the username, but I can log on to my
own pc with her username and get to site after site,
without issue. The problem is therefore, not physical
and not username based. I figured it was the local
settings, but internet explorer security is set to low,
ports are open, and I'm going nuts trying to figure this
out.

Well if the security is low and port are open might be that it is infested.

First check if the computer is clean.
