internet illegal operation

hi,
i keep getting this warning everytime i'm in the internet.
i have no idea what it means, but it's getting really
anoying. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Faults in gdi.exe generally are caused by video driver problems. In your case the file ddhelp is also at issue, so the first thing I would do would be to update/reinstall DirectX 9.0b:

If no joy update/reinstall your video drivers. Go to the web site of your video card manufacturer and get the latest drivers for your card.

For troubleshooting, try turning down your hardware acceleration (Start...Settings...Control Panel...Display...Settings...Advanced...Performance), the color depth or screen resolution a notch or two. If these help, then new video drivers are in order. IE is harder on video drivers than almost any program outside of games and CAD/CAM.
