I connect through the internet on my schools T1 line. Everytime I log onto the internet with my accounent through them, an strange Internet Gateway appears in my Network Connections area. The Internet Gateway is called Cheng-Hao. I want to get rid of it as I don't like the idea of someone else having access to my computer. I can't use a firewall because of the network I am on. Any help on this would be appreciated

The Internet Gateway is the device that you're actually connecting through (probably a router). It is apparently Universal Plug And Play compatible, which may give you some control over the device, or you may only be able to view the status. If your network administrator is at all capable, it will be password protected, and you won't be able to do anything with it.
