Internet Explorer

Pete

When getting on certain websites, I get an error window
that reads: Microsft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime
error
Program:C:\Program Files\Internet explorer\IEXPLORER.EXE
This application has requested the Runtime to terminateit
in an unusual way.
This locks up the Internet Explorer and I have to turn
off the Internet and get back on. Does anyone know what
the problem is.

Pete,
See:
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CommonName.html Do you have CommonName
installed?

Or this could be caused by another parasite. Try CWShredder, Ad-aware and
Spybot.
See: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Another possibility:
From Internet Options> Advanced, if you have Sun Java and microsoft VM
(virtual machine) uncheck Sun Java.
More information on Java and Microsoft VM issues at
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm

Hope this helps,
Don

I really dont know what the problem is either. It is very frustrating and making matters worse, Microsoft wants you to pay $35 just to get an email reply to this problem. What a joke. I read some of the replies here but nothing seems to work. What I ended up doing was switching browsers- I downloaded netscape 7.0, for free, and it hasnt happened in that once. And oh yeah, dont worry, netscape will import all your IE explorer bookmarks too

So maybe u can do that
