Internet Explorer 6 SP 2 terminates/shutsdown at various web sites

At various web sites, I get the message
" Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library"

"Runtime Error!"

"Program:c\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe"

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way...."

And then IE terminates and closes. Can anyone give me a clue how I can fix
this?

Go to Internet Options from the Tools and choose the Advanced tab.
Under the browsing you will see the Disable script debugging choose it
and clear the check box for the Display a notification for every script
error...

Thanks for the effort. Unfortunately I still get the message. I even
reinstalled the OS, which in this case is MS XP Home. Now however I get an
additional message when I go to certain sites, as follows;

" The instruction at "0X0159dc3-P" referenced memory at "0X014a22d4". The
memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program" (Like I have
any choice in the matter!)

At this point IE closes. If it makes any differnce I'm visiting www.tsx.com

I could use any other ideas. This thing is driving me nuts!

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++, Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/CommonName.html
or
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=TROJ_AGENT.BK
also make sure you don't have both the Sun JRE and the Microsoft VM JIT
compiler enabled.

I still have my runtime problem. Below you indicated that I should also make
sure I don't have both the Sun JRE and the Microsoft VM JIT compiler enabled.

I have no idea what you're referring to my friend, but how would I check this?

Thanks very much for your help. My problem is now fixed! Booya! I wish I
could tell you exactly what it was that actually fixed the problem. I got so
caught up in trying everything. But I suspect that the solution revolved
around 4 things (1) the refreshing of the scripting engine, (2)
reregistration of all DLLs, and (3) an XP Office Update and (4) removal of
any conflicts between MS VM and Sun Java Console. ( I think that they were
both running. I removed MS VM from my settings).

Thanks again. It's nice being able to go to any and all sites again!
