I have Windows XP Service Pack 2...just downloaded IE7 (was using IE5) and
don't really like it. Can I revert back to IE6 for Service Pack 1? Or do I
need to go back to IE5? Still prefer Mozilla Firefox for most of my usage,
but it appears I need IE for certain things. Please advise.

Look in Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. When you uninstall IE7
it will revert your system back to IE6
 
You were running IE6 before installing IE7. Uninstalling IE7 automatically
returns you to IE6.
