MY Internet Stopped working after installing windows updates

Today 9 July 2008 two windows updates were installed in my system

1. Security Update For Windows XP (KB951748)

2. Security Update for windows xp (KB951978)

after these updates i restarted my computer as usual and my internet
stopped working on my browsers which were (IE 7 and Mozilla Firefox 3)

what's wrong with these updates

I am using windows xp (service pack 3) and all my internet was working good
before installing these updates

NOTE: - i am dead sure that these updates were the problem as when i
uninstalled them my internet started working on Mozilla firefox and IE

I had the same problem--its just the first one that causes the problem,
though... if you look in the details (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951748)
it's modifying lots of system files used for networking. For now, just
disable automatic updates until Microsoft fixes it.

The updates are not the problem. Your system is infested with non-conforming
and flawed software. It's name is ZoneAlarm.
