Hi Chicken,
1=> Try to rename your HOSTS file to Hosts.old but not the one with the
extension * .SAM * leave this alone.
Open a Run
Command and type this :
ipconfig /flushdns and click [OK]

Reboot and see if your Issue will resolve.

2=> Open IE Properties Window and Click On Advanced Tab scroll down under
Browsing:
[ ] Enable Third Party Browser extension (requi rs) uncheck this box

= Click on Programs Tab and go through your Add-Ons and Disable Non MS
and see if that will help, then you can renable them and see which one the
culprit if any.
= On the same Tab click Reset Web Settings click OK and Reboot your
machine.
Be sure your computer is clean from malwares and viruses and clear your
caches and delete your cookies.
HTH.
Please let us know your result.

Okay:
1=> Open the Windows Explorer and click to expand the C:\ Partition or* My
Computer* then click on [+] Plus beside windows to expand down then click on
[+] plus beside System32 to expand down and click on the [+] plus beside
drivers to expand, then on [+] plus beside etc and look in the Right Pane you
will see two HOSTS file.
Your path will look like this: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc open the
Hosts file by Double clicking on it and select open with notepad and see what
entries there to the pre-mentioned sites if it there remove them.
The default Hosts file without entries looks like this:
######################################################
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

#############################################

2= If removing the entries if it did exist doesn't help try to rename your
HOSTS file to Hosts.old but not the one with the
extension * .SAM * leave this alone.
Open a Run by click on Start button on your desktop and open Run Command and
type this (you can copy as it is by cut/copy and past) :
ipconfig /flushdns and click [OK]

Reboot and see if your Issue will resolve.

3=> To Open IE Properties Window click on Control panel and Double click on
Network and Internet Connections then double click on Internet Options and
you will see these options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs | Advanced

Click On Advanced Tab scroll down under Browsing Option and uncheck:
[ ] Enable Third Party Browser extension (requi rs) uncheck this box

Hi,
What Anti-virus, Firewall, Anti-spyware you have installed on your computer
and the Pop-Up Blocker settings set to?.

1 = Try this if you done your sum on the Firewall and AV and you sure that
they not causing the Problem: note the space between Iexplore_/
Open the Run command and type this:
Iexplore /rereg click [OK] and wait for it to finish and Reboot
your computer and see if you will be successful this time.

2 = Open the Run command again and type this: note the space between sfc_/
sfc /scannow click [OK] and wait for it to finish and get your XP
CD handy if it asked you to do so insert it in for the System File Checker to
repai the damaged files found.

3 = If the above in (2) didn't work try System Restore where the Roadruner
was runing okay.
To do that click Start >> All Prgrams >> Accessories >> System Tools >>
System Restore and there read and follow the instruction to restore to an
Earlier date only you know when things were fine.

4 = Open the Run command again and type this: CMD click [ok] then on the
open command type C:\> netsh winsock reset Hit [ Enter] on your
Keyboard.

Note: Perform each setp (1, 2, 3, 4) one at a time and Reboot hopefully you
will not need all of them.
HTH.
Please let us know your result.
