Hi All,

When a particular user logs into their terminal server
session and launches IE for the first time, they are
defaulted to a different homepage than the one set.

It points to http://www.apcstart.com/runonce.

However, if they close and re-launch IE, it defaults to
the correct homepage. This problem only seems to affect
one particular user.

The operating environmnet here is Windows 2000 Terminal
Server SP4, with IE 6 SP1 installed.

Has anyone experience a similar problem and found a
resolution?

Regards,
Sung

Open regedit -> Edit -> Find -> apcstart

This should find what is storing this value, which you can probably just
change to another site.

Also delete the cookie from this site in the user's IE Cache.

These are usually the result of spyware, which you can check for via:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php

Thanks Patrick for the response.

I've foound and modified the registry settings and also
deleted the cookie. However, the problem still persist.

The site http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php seems to be
under repairs. Is there another site i can check to scan
for spyware that you know of?

Thanks,
Sung
