Internet Explorer won't start

I'm using the media browser in my Real One Player right
now because my Internet Explorer (6) won't start. This
problem just started tonight. Every time I click on the IE
icon on my desktop I get the little box that says an error
report has been created. If I click on okay, it just
brings up that box again. I went to the Windows website
and re-installed IE 6 twice, to no avail.
I'd like to know how to completely uninstall my IE 6 and
remove it from my computer. But I can't find it in my
add/remove programs thing. If I do that then maybe I can
download it and install it from the Windows website. I
don't know what else to do.
Please help. Nothing major like this has ever happened
before.
Thanks.

Download all of these utilities and scan the system.

Note: Spyware removers are rules-based and are updated very frequently as and when new malware is discovered. Therefore, update both of these tools before scanning, very important.

Lavasoft Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder : http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe
Online Spyware scan: Do you have parasites?: http://aumha.org/a/noads.php

If that does not help, post the details of the Error Report.

Thanks for your response. Today IE is working fine. I
clicked the icon on my desktop and it came right up.
P.S.- I do have Spybot S&D and Ad-aware 6, both of them
updated. I'll check on the other things too. Thanks.
