Internet Explorer (Windows XP) system does not show animations on websites

Hi All,

Since a few weeks my Windows XP, Internet Explorer does not show animations
on WebPages, neither will it save GIFs as gifs, but defaults to BMP.

There are several "solutions" in the Microsoft Knowledge Base articles, none
will work for me.
Tested ALL of the "solutions" by now many times over. Still no animations,
no saving gifs as gifs.

(Knowledge Base article 810978) is only one of the many articles with
basically all the same information.

Please, help, emails directly to email are ok as well.

Thanks in advance, in case someone has found a solution.

Hi Lapage have you been up to tools-Internet Options-Advanced and made sure you have all the ticks in the boxes under Multimedia. Also make sure you have deleted all your Internet files and ticked the box delete all offline content , because if it is full it will revert to saving BMPs, this is also in tools-Internet Options.

Thanks for the follow-up, I had done the things you mentioned in your email.
Followed the Microsoft Knowledge Base advise and nothing much helps.
I will have to search for a solution or do a registry search for a potential
conflict.

Oh...windows....
