Internet Explorer Stoping POP-UPs

Someone Please Help Me!!

Here's the thing - Everytime I search something on the
net I get one or two Pop-Ups. I want to know how to stop
the pop-ups. I downloaded the google pop-up blocker but
that doesn't stop other internet explorer pop-ups.
Would someone e-mail me and tell what i need to do!

Go to opera.com and download the late4sr opera web
browser it"s free and has more built-in security
features than ie such as stopping pop-ups etc.
