internet explorer sound gone help

Hi all im surfing the net with internet explorer 7 and have now noticed the
sound for clicking on buttons and links has completly gone, it is ment to
sound like a click slash tick when I click on things for example when I use
ebay and click on a link to goto an auction page it is ment to make the
sound and then load the page.

Please help

Event sounds, like "Navigation" are set in the Sounds and Video app in
Control Panel

start/run, type:
MMSYS.CPL
Sounds tab
scroll to "start navigation"
highlight it, and choose the sound you want.
You can test to see if the file is the one you want. Set the dropbox to the
sound, and click the 'side arrow' next to the Browse button.
