Internet Explorer shuts down

I have a problem when I am on a web site and click on
another link in that site, Internet explorer closes....it
doesn't happen if I am using Netscape 7.1 so I presume it
is a flaw with IE. Example: In my MSN the score for the
NY Yankees is final...I click on "Final Recap" and IE
closes. I have to open it again to view another web
site. I have Windows XP Pro and IE 6, this didn't
happen in the past....it started after my PC
automatically downloaded some security updates from MSN
about a month ago (the blaster worm scare). Anyone know
what's wrong and how to correct it?

Go to MS site for downloads, let it check your system and
then click for history of downloads. Note what they are
and then go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs, and
remove the downloads, one at a time, last one dowloaded
being first to be removed. You will be warned that some of
the programs might not work correctly as a result of the
removal, ignore that. As you remove one, you will need to
test whether the problem has been resolved. Do not remove
the worm blaster one, it does not cause the problem.
