Internet Explorer shortcuts

How do I permanently delete shortcuts from my favorites
folder.

What I have done so far......I delete shortcuts by
accessing FAVORITES and right clicking and highlighting
delete then yes...........

The shortcuts are removed until the next time I sign on to
my PC. Then they are automatically back! Why is this
happening and how can I get rid of them permanently.

Your method should work. However, try this instead ...
from the Faborites drop-down in Internet Explorer, select
Organize Favorites. Then, find the shortcut in what ever
folder you have it in, select it and click DELETE.

See if that is more permanent? Good luck!

I assume you are talking about the particular favorites listed in the
"Links" folder. They are not permenantly deleteable without hacking the
registry.

Unless you are talking about, shall we say *undesirable* "Favorites"?
Hmmm? In that case, you've probably got a spyware infestation and you
need to remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy
(www.security.kolla.de) and Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com). Be sure to
update these programs before running, and it is a good idea to do
virus/spyware scans in Safe Mode. You *are* running a current
(post-2002 version with updated definitions) antivirus program, right?
