I have XP pro and IE 6, and had installed this update.
After installing this update I was no longer able to log
into another
website via a textbook website. I am a college student
and this posed a
real problem for me as my assignments were based from
this site I couldnt
log into.

After removal of this update I can login as before!

I just wanted to inform people of what happened to me and
if anyone might
know why this update did this to my IE, and to offer a
fix to those who
might run into a similar problem.

First thing to check is your password, there have been some reports of
832894 corrupting or removing passwords. It happened to me on a secure site.

It isnt my password, double checked with the website
company. if it is corrupting passwords then this would
not be the case for me, so what would it be?

If you're sending your user id and password over a secure
connection, you're probably experiencing the same problem
that many of us are, and it seems to be related to the
update. I'm waiting to hear what Microsoft are going to do
about this serious problem.
