Internet Explorer Problems

Having browser issues. For some reason, when I have
multiple Internet Explorer windows open (not sure what
would happen if I didn't, since I usually have at least
two of them), one or two will spontaneously close. This
happens whether or not that window is the active one. Can
anyone share any ideas as to why this keeps happening and
what I can do about it?

The default setting for the number of instances you can have open is
2. Change your default setting.

Wrong. 2 is the default setting for how many simultaneous file downloads
you can have.
