internet explorer problems

after downloading the blaster worm patch and scanning my
computer for the virus, internet explorer version 6 keeps
encountering a problem and booting me off. the only way i
could get here was through sending an error report. also
istsvc.exe is also encountering a problem. i do not have
the worm and i have tried updating internet explorer. how
can i fix this problem?

[To double-check your system]

Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.
