Internet explorer problem

when ever me or my uncle go to a web site the ad boxes
show up as red blocks, sympatico says we can either get a
technician to fix it or to reinstall the program but I was
hoping there was a easier and cheaper way of fixing it.
can anyone help me/us? by the way sympatico also said that
it had something to do with the java scripting.

Hi,
Are you running a program which blocks ads?
Or, a HOSTS file could cause this.
Or, your firewall or another security program could be blocking URLs from
another site or server.
