Internet explorer problem

Just recently I tried to view a link in Internet explorer. When I
click on the link, normally a window pops up asking if I want to view
or save the document linked on a website. Now a window opens up and
closes. Anyone have any ideas of how I can get it back to normal?

Thank you,
Michael

I wish it was that easy. The only popup blocker that is on the system
is the yahoo toolbar, which in 2 years has yet to block a single
popup. Truely amazing stuff that yahoo toolbar.

Part of Internet Explorer is an option to stop popups.. go to tools,
internet options, privacy tab.. take the check out of block pop ups, click
apply ok... hope this does the trick.. :) Rainy

You are using Internet Explorer, right?... :) are you saying that you have
taken the check mark out and it's still popping up? Are you aware that if
you disable your popup blocker.. you will get LOTS of popups? Can you
explain a little more... thanks.Rainy..

Hello Rainy,

I'm sorry I'm waiting so long to get back to you, a long holiday
weekend. I just finished taking a look at the computer and the popup
blocker was not selected. I'm still not 100% sure what happened with
IE, but after a few failed efforts, I deleted it and reinstalled it
and it appears to have corrected the problems. I must have run this by
a dozen people and gotten a dozen different answers with no success.
All that was going on was the second I clicked on the link, where
normally the option would be brought up allowing you to open or save a
document, the window would open and than quickly close. It did seem
as if a popup blocker was closing the window, but there was no pop
blocker on. It was a very very odd problem. Thank you very much for
your help Rainy, hopefully next time, I'll have an easier problem for
you guys to bail me out of.
