Does anybody know why whenever i close the internet explorer a message pops
up as if its an error and then the internet explorer automatically tries to
re open itself.
It does this every time and i was wondering if anyone knew of a solution??????

The first pop up box after you close internet explorer says " Internet
explorer has stopped working. Microsoft will let you know if there is a
solution to this problem".

Then another box pops up and says "Internet explorer is restarting"

In the start menu go to Accessories / System Tools & start IE via the
shortcut with no add-ons.
Use that & see if you get any problems.
If it's OK the problem might be an add-on.

I tried that, a friend from work suggested it. Could it be anything else?

You could look in the Vista Event Viewer to see if there are any detailed
messages about what is going wrong.

Start/Orb, type C:\Windows\System32\eventvwr.exe, Enter...

Sometimes Control Panel > Problem Reports and Solutions can give clues.
