Internet Explorer not launching

After upgrading to IE 6.0...all was working well...all
of a sudden, I went to click on the IE icon on the desktop
and nothing happened...the hour glass appeaered next to
the mouse pointer...but thats it!!!...No errors
appear!!!...I tried to re-install IE 6.0...then tried to
launch...got nothing...tried to launch from desktop, quick
launch and start menu. Getting frustrated, I installed msn
explorer and have no trouble...I prefer to have the IE
back!!

Any Suggestions, Solutions or fixes would be appreciated.
