Launch Internet Explorer

I have a "built" computer. I have Internet Explorer 6.0.
I use AOL. I need to launch ie while using dialup
software, but I don't know how. I have no little "e" icon
on my computer. How do I launch Internet Explorer if I
can't find the icon? (I know. I sound like a moron.)

No not a moron, just needing a little help, try this
right click on an empty part of your
desktop,new ,shortcut ,type in
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe push
next and finish in the box,you may have to go to your
control panel, internet options and put in a homepage to
get something to come on other than a blank page.Like
control panel,,,internet,,,internet options,,,under home
page type in your favorite(like www.google.com or
www.msn.com),,,apply,,ok.

Win9x: In IE, Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Show Internet Explorer
on the desktop

WinXP: Right click a blank spot on the desktop and choose Properties |
Desktop | Customize Desktop.
